OBJECTIVE
Make a Flight Information Display System designed for the iPhone 14 and 15 Max Pro, to comprehensibly showcase arrivals, departures and additional information for the Atlanta International Airport.
IDEATING WIREFRAMES
Starting with singular cells and experimenting with typefaces and value choices to establish basic hierarchy and typesetting.
FIRST CONCEPTS
Utilizing repeating cell patterns, I created full screen layouts. Expanded views of the cells were first sketched in this phase, showing additional flight information when selected.
GRID FOUNDATION
I created a custom baseline grid to coordinate with my type size choices and included four columns to facilitate cleaner renditions.
BRAND IDENTITY CHOICES
My color palette and typeface choice were selected to maximize legibility while looking inviting and sleek. Baby blue and navy create high contrast and give a solid foundation to the app's interface, while the calming hues of red, yellow and green indicate the status of a flight in an efficient manner.
FINAL MOCKUPS
Compared to the current UX/UI on the market for airports, my app demonstrates a simplified solution, leaving the extra stress and baggage at home.
