OBJECTIVE
Compose a non-literal visual and typographic interpretive sequence interpreting a traditional haiku. Resulting in a physical 3 spread zine, including a title page and full poem resolution.
SKETCHES
Brainstorming loose ideas of playful type and value contrast to start to visualize the poem on the page.
DIGITAL DRAFTS
Organizing my sketches to set pages and splitting up the poem. Flow and consistency are fixed later on, compositions in this phase are just proofs of concept.
COLOR PALETTE
Using unrecognizable derivatives of a secondary color harmony helped create a unique combination to maximize contrast in hue and value. This created hierarchy between the typographic and geometric elements throughout the composition.
